Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of Oddah, including our mobile application, website, premium features, and related services. By creating an account, accessing the service, or using any Oddah feature, you agree to these Terms.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding agreement to use Oddah. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the service.

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when you create or update your account. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

Oddah is designed for relationship-focused collaboration. If you invite or link with a partner, you are responsible for ensuring that the other person has agreed to join you in the app.

Content you place in shared spaces may become visible to your linked partner. You remain responsible for what you share, and we are not responsible for disputes, misunderstandings, or personal outcomes arising from couple interactions inside or outside the service.

You may not use Oddah to:

• Violate any law or regulation.
• Harass, threaten, abuse, or exploit another person.
• Upload or share unlawful, infringing, defamatory, or obscene content.
• Interfere with the service, our infrastructure, or another user's account.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or automate access except where applicable law permits it.
• Use Oddah for unauthorized commercial resale or white-label purposes.

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access if we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated or the service is being abused.

Oddah may offer free and paid features. Premium access may be sold as an auto-renewing subscription, including monthly or annual plans, depending on the platform and offer currently available.

Purchases made through Apple App Store or Google Play are billed and managed by those platforms. Purchases made through an Oddah web checkout or an authorized payment partner are billed and managed through that checkout flow and the applicable payment provider. Refunds, cancellations, renewal timing, taxes, and billing rules may vary by platform.

Unless stated otherwise at checkout, subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel them. You are responsible for managing your subscription before the next renewal date if you do not want it to renew. We may update pricing, plan structure, trial offers, or premium features prospectively.

If you download Oddah through Apple, the Apple Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies where required.

You retain ownership of the content you create, upload, or share in Oddah. That includes messages, letters, goals, lists, memories, images, and other material you contribute.

By using the service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, reproduce, process, and display your content solely as needed to operate, secure, maintain, and improve Oddah. This includes syncing content across your devices, delivering shared features to your linked partner, and maintaining backups or abuse-prevention systems.

Oddah, including its branding, software, design system, text, and underlying technology, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Except for the limited right to use the service under these Terms, no rights are granted to you in our intellectual property.

Some Oddah features may generate suggestions, prompts, drafts, or other AI-assisted outputs. These outputs are provided for convenience and inspiration only.

You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated output before relying on it, sending it to another person, or acting on it. We do not guarantee that AI output is accurate, appropriate, complete, or suitable for your specific situation.

Oddah is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

Oddah is a relationship support tool. It is not therapy, medical care, legal advice, crisis support, or a guarantee of relationship outcomes.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Oddah and its affiliates, founders, employees, and licensors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or business opportunity arising out of or related to your use of the service.

Our aggregate liability for all claims related to the service will not exceed the greater of one hundred U.S. dollars (USD 100) or the amount you paid to us for the service during the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

You may stop using Oddah at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if we believe you have violated these Terms, created legal risk, harmed other users, or interfered with the operation of the service.

Termination does not limit any rights or remedies that accrued before the termination date.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, excluding conflict-of-laws rules, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your place of residence require otherwise.

Disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service will be handled in the courts of South Africa, subject to any non-waivable rights you may have under applicable law.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we may notify you through the app, by email, or by posting an updated version on this page with a new effective date.

Your continued use of Oddah after updated Terms become effective means you accept the revised Terms.
